Kathryn Ans

Kathryn Louise Ans, age 83, of Hockessin, Delaware, born in Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025.

Kathy was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in elementary education. Her joy for children was expressed by teaching elementary and nursery school, as well as substituting.

Kathy loved the ocean, spending many vacations with family and friends at Holden Beach, North Carolina and enjoying the Caribbean with her husband numerous times.

Kathy was loved by and loved her husband of 60 years, Peteris Ans; her children, Anna Shore and Matthew Ans; and her grandchildren: Aleks, Andrew, David, and Amanda.

Funeral Services

A memorial service will be held in spring of 2026. Donations, in lieu of flowers, should be made to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John, 301 N. Newtown Street, Newtown Square, PA 19073 or at the following link: Philadelphia Latvian Lutheran Church.
