Pauline Phillips

Pauline Phillips, age 97, of Wilmington, Delaware died on March 10, 2018.

Pauline was born in Monemvasia, Greece and moved to the United States after she married her husband George in 1949.

She worked as a dressmaker for dress shops in Wilmington including Jo Robinson, the McCaffery dress shop and the Fashion shop. She retired in 1989 to care for her grandchildren.

Pauline was an active parishioner of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, served in the Ladies Philoptochos Society, and volunteered at the Greek Festival every June.

She was married to George Phillips for 49 years until his passing in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Irene Phillips Raisis, her husband Dr. Leo Raisis, and her grandchildren William, Alisa and Pauline Raisis.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 North Broom Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19806.

 

Funeral Services

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 11AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 North Broom Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19806. The burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 14 from 7-9 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19803.
