Daniel F. Murray, 78, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Daniel was a graduate of John Dickinson High School in Wilmington before attending Wilmington College. Following graduation, Daniel worked as an auto mechanic for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Noreen Murray; his son, Christopher Jason Murray; and his daughter-in-law Patricia M. Murray. Daniel will be greatly missed.

    I worked with Dan from 1967-1970 in OI Division on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. RIP my friend.

    Danny was my cousin. As the oldest he was often charged with looking after my brother and I during family get togethers. I only have good memories of those interactions. In high school I was gifted one of his pea coats from his time in the coast guard. This was the 70s, military style was in, and I got to be cool thanks to his service! I remember attending his wedding to Joyce - my first time sipping champagne. Joyce and Danny looked so much in love. I’m sorry we lost touch in later years as I remember Danny quite fondly. I am so sorry for your family.
