Joan A. Helmer

Joan A. Helmer, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, moved to New Jersey, Florida and then Delaware.

She earned her college degree from The County College of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey where she worked for many years managing the computer labs and mentoring students.

Mrs. Helmer was married to her late husband Charles for 65 years.  She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, Chuck and Debbie Helmer, Tom and Lynn Helmer, Keith and Jennifer Helmer, Joanne and Keith Wanamaker; and her seven grandchildren, Tim and his wife Carissa, Stacey, Bridget, K.C., Kellie, Abby and Christian.
