Edward Akehurst

Wallace Edward Akehust passed away on June 13, 2025, at his home at Hellam, PA.

He is survived by his siblings Vivian Enfield Akehurst Gaz (David) of Wilmington, DE and Robin Akehurst Dusza (Justin) of Baltimore, MD.  His children, Helen Akehurst of Hellam, PA and David Akehurst of Baltimore, MD, his grandchildren Jami, Sofia, and Kaitlyn, as well as his niece and four nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Adele Margaret Shilko who passed on December 7, 2023.

He loved music, billiards, traveling, and skydiving.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed the big screen.  His travels took him to many countries where he also enjoyed the culture, food and of course the people.

Ed will be missed by those family and friends who knew him best.  May Ed rest in peace and comfort, being reunited with Adele.
