I got to know Marj through her work with PAWS. She would often tell me how much Sophie enjoyed the children and the children enjoyed Sophie! She never made it about herself. The best volunteers don’t do it for themselves, they do it for others. Marj, thank you for being one of the best! So missed you will be!

Jennie Moore lit a candle and writes,
Marj was our faithful PAWS for People volunteer at the library where I work in the Children's Room. I was scheduled for Saturday mornings when she and Sophie visited. The children ADORED Sophie, and Marj loved sharing Sophie with them, and many other age groups. It gave her joy to see Sophie bringing joy to others. Marj and I enjoyed getting to know each other. We shared a love for knitting and I enjoyed hearing her speak of her many experiences as an airline employee. I am so deeply saddened to learn of her passing. She will be very fondly remembered and very SORELY missed by myself and the families at our library.

    Sondra Weidman writes,
I am so saddened. I was away a lot this summer and have been wondering where she's/they've been... I'm a neighbor and a friend. Marge and Sophie frequently spend time in my yard while Sophie covered me with kisses and hair, Marge and I would talk about life and the things she loved to do. All mentioned above. She will be greatly missed as well as Sophie. 💞
