My sincere condolences go out to all of Jack McKearin's loved ones. All my memories of Jack are of a man with a generous heart, a great sense of humor, and a truly positive attitude. I will miss him. One of his greatest tributes is the character qualities of his children. Jack and his wife Pauline gave this world a bunch of wonderful people in their children. Husband and wife are together again, without any physical impairments, enjoying a great reunion. As for all of us, God "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds."

I liked Jack, but then again who didn't. He was easy to talk to and had a wonderful "Gift of Gab". He was truly a wonderful person who I enjoyed talking to, as he related his stories of meeting Ted Williams, John Kennedy (when he was just John Kennedy) and his experiences of working in Missouri and his Love for his wonderful wife. He was proud to be of Irish descent and to have come from the most Irish of states, Massachusetts. May God's Graces guide you on your new journey, and may the Peace of Christ light your way.

Jack Hickey, Sr. lit a candle and writes,
Someone once said, “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.” And neither should have Jack McKearin. Like any good Marine, Jack was a man Courage, Honor, and Integrity! Though I didn't know him long, I will always remember Jack as a man of "few" words, yet whose life spoke volumes. This was clearly evident through the love of his family. To me Jack was a kindred spirit. A man who loved God, family, and country! Steve, Grace, and family, I am so sorry for your loss, but I am confident that while Jack’s mind was clouded by illness, that cloud has now lifted. He is himself again - more himself than at any time on this earth. For we may be sure that the Lord never forgets those who remember Him. And as the last journey of this faithful pilgrim took him beyond the sunset, and as heaven's morning broke, I like to think - in the words of John Bunyan, that “all the trumpets sounded on the other side.” We here still move in twilight, but we have one beacon to guide us that Jack McKearin never had. We have his example. Let us give thanks today for a life that achieved so much for us all." God bless & Semper Fi . . . Jack Hickey, Sr.

We did not have the great fortune of knowing Jack but we have been blessed to know daughter Kathy, along with some of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We were touched by Jack in knowing part of his incredible family - they are a reflection of a great man of honor, character, leadership, love and genuine kindness. While Heaven now has him for eternity, we rejoice to have the blessings Jack left for us.
