Carroll Ann Githens

Caroll Ann Githens, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on January 4, 2018.

Born in Salem, NJ in 1932 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Willey. She was a High School Graduate in Salem, NJ Class of 1949.

Caroll worked for the DuPont Company for 38 years in Wilmington and Chambers Works. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Past President of DuPont Veteranettes at Chambers Works, member of Post Cana and Member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, an Eastern Star, and lived in Arden for 40 years and participated in the Saturday dinners.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Sessoms (Jeffery Putz) of Lewes, DE, granddaughters Dawn (Andrew) Boulden of Seaford, DE, Andrea Harmer of Wilmington, DE, and great grandson Michael Valichka of Wilmington, DE

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1314 Foulk Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at the address listed above.
