John M. Meyers Jr.

John M. Meyers Jr., age 88, of Hockessin, DE passed away on January 4, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Essex County, NJ in 1929, he was the son of the late John M. Sr. and Helen Meyers.

He was a United States Veteran who served in WWII during the rebuild of Germany. He worked for the NVF Company until it was shut down and then moved on to Sheehy Ford until his retirement. The biggest joy in John’s life was his family and spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Samuel M. Meyers and his son Robert M. Meyers. Survived by his wife Mildred (nee Savidge) Meyers, and his daughters Carol (Dennis) Arnold and Wendy Meyers, he also is survived by his grandchildren Melissa (Paul) Grandel, Codi L. Bruhn, Daniel M. Arnold, and Cassandra Fessler, as well as his great grandchildren Dustin and Summer Grandel and Daniel M. “DJ” Arnold, Jr.
