Leonard A. Vito

Leonard A. Vito, age 75, of Lewes, Delaware passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Len was born in 1949 in Weehawken, New Jersey, son of the late Leonard A. Vito, Sr. and Ann Sorrtino Vito. He graduated in 1967 from the Matawan High School in New Jersey and in 1972 he earned his bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass..

Len started his career in insurance sales. He then followed his passion as a wine enthusiast until he retired. He was a founding member of the Wine with Friends Meet Up Group, a member of the Lewes Craft Beer Meet Up Group. He loved visiting the Delmarva shorebirds and was a member of local bird watching groups. He loved baseball games and enjoyed watching his Mets and Giants sports teams.

He is survived by his niece, Healey A. Stepanic, his nephew, Michael J. Stepanic, both of Hockessin, DE, his brother-in-law, Rich R. Masi, of Lewes, DE, his great-niece, Jordan R. Stepanic, great-nephew, Tanner M. Stepanic, both of Hockessin, DE.

Leonard has participated in the University of Delaware’s Anatomical Gift donation program. A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date in Sussex County.
