Melissa “Lisa” Jean Haven Dailey

Melissa “Lisa” Jean Haven Dailey, age 74, of Nashville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Wilmington Hospital, Delaware. She was born in Niskayuna, New York, to Jean and Edward Sherm Haven.

Lisa was a graduate of Glens Falls High School. She went on to work at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut, for over 20 years as a secretary. She retired to a lovely home in Nashville, NC, with her companion, John Hayden.

She had many talents, including painting, decorating, sewing, singing, and playing guitar. An avid reader and music lover, her favorite hobby was gardening. She loved plants and flowers like no other, taking pride in her numerous rock gardens and hanging planters. She most enjoyed spending summers with her family at the family cabin in Pilot Knob, Lake George, NY.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Haven, and father, Edward Sherm Haven.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amanda (Bob) Welshmer of Wilmington, Delaware, and Jennifer Munz of Shelton, Connecticut; grandchildren, Dailey Welshmer, Brenna Munz, Jordan Munz, and her great-grandchild, Oliver Trainor. She is also survived by her siblings: Sue (Rob) Smith, Jon (Becky) Haven, Allison (Tom) Shea, and Todd (Nancy) Haven, along with her many nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be held in Summer 2025 at her beloved family cabin in Pilot Knob, Lake George, New York.
