Jeanette E. Hudson

Jeanette E. Hudson, 89, of Wilmington, Delaware departed this world peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2017.

Jeanette was a twin and one of fourteen children born in Wilmington to Francisco and Philomena Socorso. An active member of the Claymont Women’s Club in the 50’s and 60’s, she participated in the restoration of the Stone School on Darley Road in Claymont. Jeanette was also a life-long member of Holy Rosary Church.

She was a devoted wife and mother to her two children. There was a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren, and she took pleasure and pride in being part of their lives. Jeanette will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren and those who knew her as a kind, loving and gentle woman.

Jeanette was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Joseph P. Hudson Sr. She is survived by her son Joseph Penn Hudson II; daughter Debra H. Towe (Don); grandchildren, Sarah E. Hudson of Boston, MA, Joseph P. Hudson III of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Kendall Hudson Towe of Hattiesburg, MS and Caitlin Hudson Towe of Wilmington; twin sister Constance Conlin of Avondale, PA; and brother Edward Socorso of Wilmington.
