Linda Kuechler Prickett passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Wilmington Hospital, surrounded by her family. Linda was born in St Louis, Missouri, and moved to Wilmington, where she lived for over 60 years. She attended Washington University and studied classical piano at the Julliard School of Music.
Linda was passionate about the arts, classical piano, food, and travel. For most of her life, she kept two pianos to play duets and could be found mentoring young musicians. She thoroughly enjoyed great food and exploring the world with friends and family. She also enjoyed playing Tennis and Croquet. Many will remember her for her welcoming smile and friendship.
Linda was equally passionate about giving back to the community through her work with the Arts and Health. She was constantly helping those in need and was active on the boards of many institutions during her lifetime, serving the arts and healthcare communities, including US Hope Ship, the Delaware Symphony, the Philadelphia Chamber Symphony, the Kennedy Center for the Arts, Montego Bay Hospital (Jamaica), the Junior Board of the Wilmington Memorial Hospital, Wilmington Music School, and the Brandywine River Conservancy and Museum of Art, among others.
She was predeceased by her eldest son Ted Rollins. She is survived by her son Jeff Rollins and his wife Kim, daughter Annie Renzetti and her husband Peter, her daughter-in-law Holly Rollins, her five grandchildren Kaitlyn Jakovcic and her husband John, William Rollins, Morgan Rollins, Sarah Rollins, and Emma Rollins, and great-grandchildren, Samuel White and Tripp Jakovcic.
A service and a celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions to be given in Linda’s name to the Delaware Symphony (www.delawaresymphony.org) or the Brandywine River Conservancy & Museum of Art (www.brandywine.org)
