| Above all, Chandler’s is a family funeral home. Ever since it was founded by James T. Chandler Sr. on West Ninth Street in 1892, four generations of our family have been dedicated to preserving and building on our reputation for service, professionalism, and community involvement.
A century later, Chandler family members still serve our community from two convenient locations, in Wilmington and in the Hockessin facility, which was inaugurated in 1978. This facility has New Castle County’s only crematory owned by a family funeral home. Today, James T. Chandler IV is Chairman of the Board and his younger brother Chad is President. We’re proud to offer this long heritage of Chandler family service to the people of the Wilmington area. |
