Cremation is a personal and a family decision. You might prefer a funeral service, memorial service, or commemorative gathering with cremation following. Some families choose to have cremation done first, with the cremated remains present during the service in an urn. If you prefer not to have a service, you might choose immediate cremation. There are also many choices regarding final disposition, such as permanent possession, scattering, burial, or entombment. Monuments and plaques are available for memorialization after disposition, as well.
